FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
You do not need a referral to come in for an appointment unless you would like a rebate from Medicare
WILL I GET A MEDICARE REBATE?
Jacqui is a registered Medicare provider. Medicare rebates are available for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Please see your GP to assess if you are eligible for the rebate. You will need to bring both the referral letter and mental health care plan provided by your GP to the appointment. More information about Medicare rebates can be found from Medicare Australia on 132011 or by visiting www.medicareaustralia.gov.au
ARE ANY SERVICES BULK BILLED?
In some cases Jacqui may bulk bill for sessions if there is current Mental Health Care Plan from a GP. Please contact her to discuss before making an appointment.
AM I ELIGIBLE FOR A PRIVATE HEALTH FUND REBATE?
You may also be eligible for a rebate covering a portion of the session fee depending on your level of private heath cover. Health fund rebates do not require a GP referral. Please also note that you cannot claim from Medicare and your health fund for the same consultation. Please check with your health fund to ensure that they cover mental health consultations if relevant.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
Please be aware that 24 hour notice is required for cancellation of appointments otherwise you will be charged the full fee. There are no Medicare or private health rebates for cancelled sessions.
